Gagosian Quarterly: Spring 2024 Issue

$ 20.00
Debuting a new cover design and an editorial refresh, the Spring 2024 issue of Gagosian Quarterly is now available, featuring Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Lead Plate with Hole (1984) on its cover. Inside the issue is a conversation with Basquiat’s sisters, Lisane Basquiat and Jeanine Heriveaux, filmmaker Tamra Davis, art dealer Larry Gagosian, and author and curator Fred Hoffman, reflecting on their experiences with the artist during the 1980s in Los Angeles. The redesigned Quarterly includes a series of stand-alone themed supplements titled Gagosian &, with this issue diving deep into film through a focus on filmmakers Sofia Coppola, Whit Stillman, and Frederick Wiseman; a celebration of Richard Sarafian’s Vanishing Point; a meditation on the adaptability of Haruki Murakami’s prose; and a look at the art of film restoration. Elsewhere in the issue: Jamian Juliano-Villani and Jordan Wolfson in conversation, Barry Schwabsky on Jeff Wall, Rachel Cusk on Duane Hanson, Fiona Duncan on Lisa Lyon, Olivier Berggruen on Kelsey Lu, and much more.
